NEWSRLC expands provincial office portfolio in key citiesManila Bulletin - By: James Loyola | May 14, 2017
Robinsons Land Corporation (RLC), one of the country’s top property lessors, is expanding its office portfolio not only in Metro Manila but also in several key cities nationwide, including Davao City.
“This is in response to the robust growth of the Philippines’ Information Technology and Business Process Management (IT-BPM) sector which continues to drive up demand for high quality office spaces in the provinces,” said RLC General Manager for Office Buildings Division Faraday Go.
Go said that this has prompted RLC to aggressively expand its office portfolio and look for other growth areas in urban cities around the country which can support the infrastructure, talent and other requirements of the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) companies.
He explained that RLC has completed office developments in Cebu City and Ilocos Norte in 2016 and will complete three more office projects outside Metro Manila in Naga City, Tarlac City, and Davao City in 2017.
To add to its growing provincial office portfolio, Go said RLC is currently building another office development named Cybergate Delta within the Robinsons Cyberpark Davao, a 1.2-hectare property along J.P. Laurel Avenue which is currently enjoying a boom in business activity.
J.P. Laurel Avenue, one of the main thoroughfares in the city, has access to 24/7 public transportation and is in close proximity to major food and retail establishments, schools, hospitals, malls, government offices and transport terminals.
Davao City has been recognized by the DOST-ICT and IBPAP as a Center of Excellence for ICT-BPM Operations in 2016.
First to be built in the Cyberpark will be Cybergate Delta, a 5-storey office building with commercial spaces at the ground floor. RLC has allotted an area for recruitment spaces for BPO locators. Cybergate Delta also has ample parking slots within the Cyberpark complex.
The building will have a total leasable area of about 11,500 square meters, including the commercial area.
To suit the needs of the IT-BPM sector, Robinsons Cybergate Delta will have Mistubishi elevators, VRF air-conditioning system, 100 percent back-up power (N+1 utility), 24/7 security personnel equipped with CCTV surveillance, fire sprinklers and smoke detectors, LED lights in common areas, and multiple telecom service providers.
The building is targeted to be turned over to tenants this coming third quarter of 2017.
RLC targets to end 2017 with 17 office developments having a combined leasable area of 397,000 square meters.http://business.mb.com.ph/2017/05/14/rlc-expands-provincial-office-portfolio-in-key-cities/
